Food & Beverage Manager

Description: The Cafe Manager is responsible for managing and operating the day to day functions of the Five Seasons Cafe, including profitability, member service and satisfaction and insuring the quality of service and product provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise a staff including Cafe Supervisors and Cafe Attendants.
Train new hires as well as conduct continuous training for current associates.
Conduct performance reviews, and additional coaching and counseling as needed.
Insure quality of food and beverage being ordered, stocked and sold.
Greet and assist customers of the cafe. Handle customer complaints and resolve situations.
Complete weekly departmental schedules and payroll.
Maintain inventory of supplies including food and alcoholic beverages.
Insure cleanliness of cafe and cafe counter areas.
Maintain cash control procedures.
Help organize and promote various cafe member events
Oversee summertime concessions area 

Requirements: Job Requirements:
Minimum two years of management experience in high volume Food and Beverage environment is required. Experience in a caf/take out venue preferred.
Knowledge of food costing, labor costing, menu planning, costing and inventory is required.
Knowledge of quality service standards and applicable laws is required.
Food Handlers certification strongly preferred.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations and equipment is required.
Knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
Knowledge and ability to operate a POS system is required.
Ability to work independently is required.
Prior experience in training is strongly preferred.
Ability to motivate a staff and foster a teamwork environment is required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, is required.
